Scenic Beauty & Wildlife
Located on the stunning east coast of the South Island, Christchurch and Canterbury boast some amazing wildlife and landscapes. Visit the Southern Encounter Aquarium, the largest aquarium in the South Island and feed salmon and trout. Arts & Culture in Christchurch

The city’s leading early architect, Benjamin Woolfield Mountfort, left an enduring legacy with his Gothic Revival inspired buildings. Many distinctive buildings still standing today reflect the great variety of architectural tastes favoured in late Victorian and Edwardian times.
